Please spend a few minutes with us & read about our family & our dogs. We hope that by the time you've finished,
you'll want to contact us! Even if you don't want to buy a puppy, please email & let us know what you think of our
website, our dogs, & our philosophy on producing quality Bostons. We'd love to hear from you.

*Until I get the remainder of our site up & running, please email any questions you may have to:

GrayHaven Bostons is located just about 10 minutes outside Fort Wayne, Indiana, which is in the northeastern
part of the state. We are situated on 4 acres of picturesque Hoosier farmland. Lots of corn, soybeans, & cows!!  Our
home (pictured on our Contact Us page) & barns are over 100 years old. They were built by German immigrants
around 1863. We have spent many years renovating & rebuilding our home & outbuildings...but it's been well
worth it. We now have a beautiful home in which to raise our 4 children & dogs. We have no sort of kennel
building, as all our dogs share our home with us. Most of the time, they are hogging the sofa. However, we do have a
fenced yard so that all our dogs can play in safety.

Our Bostons are happy, healthy, well-adjusted members of our family. We believe in proper training &
socialization; it's the only way to have a dog that one can be proud to take anywhere. We promote "crate-training"
for happier, more relaxed dogs, & we strongly encourage anyone who purchases a puppy or adopts a rescue from us
to sign up for a puppy/obedience course with their local obedience club or with a qualified private trainer.

We breed only sound, well-tempered dogs. We do not breed with only conformation & physical beauty in mind.
There's no such thing as a 'perfect dog,' unfortunately, so if we believe a not-so-perfect dog (according to the AKC
Breed Standard) has every other trait we are looking for, & has no DISQUALIFYING FAULTS, we may decide to breed
him/her.  Not all dogs are show dogs. Many are perfectly suited for Obedience work or Agility trials. Some may
end-up as service dogs for deaf or otherwise handicapped persons. Countless Bostons make wonderful Therapy or
Visiting dogs (elderly folks & children just love the little guys). Most may simply become devoted, lifelong
companions...and there is nothing wrong with any of these outcomes! In fact, if we provide nothing more than
QUALITY pets for families to love & cherish, then we are happy with a job well-done. A "pet" Boston does not have to
be a poor-quality or "defective" Boston.

We employ both OFA and CERF examinations to better assure that our dogs & puppies are as free from disease &
inherited defects as possible.  We have also implemented BAER (hearing) and Thyroid testing, when available, to
add an additional layer of assurance for ourselves & our puppy families. In conjunction with other responsible
Boston Terrier breeders, we are trying to stamp out problems such as "subluxating patellae," "Juvenile Cataracts,"
inherited deafness, & thyroid disease in our wonderful breed. For more information on how to get your own dog
OFA'd, CERF'd, and/or BAER'd please click on these
OFA and CERF links. For a small investment, every owner
who's considering breeding could help make sure that no more Bostons suffer the pain of constantly dislocated
knees, the fear & confusion of blindness or deafness, or the debilitation of thyroid disease..

Our puppies are sold only with a signed Purchase Agreement. Part of that agreement is a 5-day, UNCONDITIONAL
GUARANTEE. We also stand behind a 1-year conditional health guarantee which covers serious & life-threatening
congenital/hereditary conditions. In addition to our guarantees, GrayHaven Bostons endorses a lifetime return
option (no-money-back) for families whose life circumstances change unexpectedly.

NO SHIPPING - Shipping is NOT possible. We believe that puppies should be chosen by their new owners,
whenever possible. After all, we don't have to live with the puppy for the next 12+ years!  It is very important that
families plan at least one pre-puppy visit to meet us & our adult dogs.  You need to see what our dogs are like, how
they react socially, & experience all the insanity & general quirkiness of a home at "critical mass" with Bostons -
as described by our Boston-loving veterinarian, Dr. Hugh Glidewell.  And we need to meet you!  The only way for
us to know whether or not one of our dogs will be a good fit for your home is for us to meet you, listen to & answer
your questions & observe your interactions with our dogs & puppies.

All GrayHaven puppies are                  registered before joining their new families.  Each goes home with a

GrayHaven Bostons Puppy Care Survival Kit
, which usually consists of -but is not limited to- a 3-5+ generation
pedigree; current vet records; a stuffed puppy toy & baby "blankie" for security; a
Canidae All Life Stages puppy
kit which may include a coupon & dry & canned food; a GrayHaven Bostons puppy guide; & a wonderful CD-format
photo album. We encourage new puppy owners to contact us with any questions or concerns!

If you find that you are interested in a GrayHaven Boston, please email, call, or write us! Upon request, we happily
mail/email  information containing photographs, pedigrees, and pricing/requirements for puppies.

**ALL "PET" PUPPIES SOLD ONLY WITH LIMITED REGISTRATION**

This means that if they are bred, their offspring are NOT eligible for AKC registration AT ALL. A dog with limited
AKC registration CAN be entered into AKC-sanctioned PERFORMANCE (Obedience, Agility, FlyBall, etc.) events,
but NOT CONFORMATION (commonly known as 'dog shows') events. Please contact us with any questions you may
have.

Bostons are small-medium sized
dogs with short, hard coats.  They

The Boston Terrier was the first breed developed in America
(from the mid-late 1800's).  The Boston Terrier Club of
America was formed in 1891, & the breed was recognized
by the American Kennel Club in 1893.
