Haley has joined the GrayHaven
Gang,  thanks to Kim and Whitney
Rutherford of Brio Bostons in Texas.
We cannot thank them enough for so
generously allowing us the
opportunity to call Haley our own.
Hopefully, in short order, Haley will
do us all proud in the show ring...

Haley-Bop & "her boy," Aspen.

Haley-Bop suffered grievous injuries to both her front legs in a fight with two of our other girls on
August 29th.  Without going into terrible detail, suffice it to say that it is still in question whether
or not she will still keep her right leg - if so, it will never function correctly or have full
circulation.  The left leg has serious nerve damage, so it also will never function completely
normally again, either.
It is entirely possible that all efforts will fail & despite all prayers, the right leg may need to be
amputated...  Worse, it is still not out of the realm of possibility that Haley could succumb to
infection & be lost to us completely.  This would be
beyond devastating for Aspen, as Haley-Bop is
his Heart Dog.
Please - if you are a believer - send a prayer along for Haley's recovery & for Aspen's strength
during this time of trial.  If you're not a believer, please send some positive energy or good karma
Haley's way & in Aspen's direction; it is very much needed.

Thank-you for every kind thought & prayer.  I will try to update this as we proceed with Haley's
recovery efforts.  Email with any questions or sentiments you'd like to share with Aspen.  He'd be
thrilled to hear from you.

on
Haley-Bop's journey of recovery, &
hopefully a video that will function!
In the three photos below, all taken

1/2 weeks after Haley-Bop's
original injury, you can see the
AWESOME degree of healing that
has taken place.
HURRAY!
If all worked as planned, there
should be a video link directly
below... this video caused our vet to
nearly jump with joy this morning,
after so many weeks of wondering
if Haley-Bop would even be able to
keep that right leg, seeing her in
this short video... well, it is quite
simply a TRIUMPH in every
definition of the word.

Amazing, eh?

We've come from a dog that we
weren't sure would even
survive
her injuries - then whether or not
she would keep the right leg - &
very questionable how functional
the
left leg would really ever be...
To the wonderfully active dog you
see in that short video!
Notice: NO BRACE on the left leg,
even?  Somehow, even with
extensive nerve damage,
Haley-Bop has found a way to
make that leg & paw do what she
wants.
Now, the prayers & waiting
continue for the right leg, to see
how it will fare in the coming
weeks!  Visit us & see!
